TESTIMONIALS
Jennifer Buckley
NZ Sculpture OnShore
Nic was contracted by our Trust to cover the Marketing and PR for the 2016 NZ Sculpture OnShore exhibition and she was pivotal to its success. She took on our very sketchy marketing brief and developed it into the most successful campaign our event has ever experienced.

In my dealings and communication with Nic she has always been friendly and approachable with a great sense of humour alongside that lovely Irish accent. We discuss things openly and she understands well the needs of different patient groups when putting forums and conferences together. Easy to work with, returns email queries promptly and knows her stuff. I highly recommend Nic cos you can trust her.

Media Producer, Depot Artspace
I worked with Nic Russell in developing the video content for NZ Sculpture onShore’s 2016 social media campaign, as part of our contract through Depot Artspace.
Nic took the PR, website and social media accounts to another level through her clear, driven goals of representing NZ Sculpture onShore as a ‘vibrant, cause-driven art event’.
Apart from her rigorous work ethic and integrity, the skill of her’s that struck me the most was her solid grounding in how to represent social causes that struggle for air time and coverage. While being realistic about the plight involved with women who use Women’s Refuge, Nic focused on positive stories, connecting artists and stories with appropriate magazines and media outlets.
I would recommend Nic as a very hard working, success driven PR and Social Media Manager, who has an excellent understanding of how to market a social cause, and also generate and make use of vibrant material on a variety of free and paid media platforms.

With the Hope Emerges campaign, Nic Russell understood a powerful truth about women facing breast cancer surgery: they wanted to know what they would look like after a mastectomy. And yet, when these women searched online, the images they found were forensic and clinical, or stark and sombre.
Nic, always a passionate agent for change, and a leader by example, rallied together a community of women to proudly bare their post-operative bodies as symbols of hope and inspiration in an uplifting photographic exhibition and online resource.
With her innate understanding of PR and social media, she also managed Facebook's censorship of these artistic images to propel her story to an even wider national and international audience. The Hope Emerges project not only became NZ Herald's most read and shared lifestyle story at the time, it created interest, education and awareness here and overseas, with the effects continuing even today.
